Selling one’s home can be a very upsetting and overwhelming experience. Sometimes it can be exciting and relieving. But, whatever the emotions that one feels, it is always best to have a realtor who can recognize from the outset what the client is feeling, and develop a course of action that will sell the house in accordance with the seller’s wishes. My wife and I have had been looking for a waterfront home in South Florida for more than 2 years. We have purchased homes in the past and the other experiences have been very typical, meet at the home, open the door, walk around, go to the next one. We met Ashley Delfin-Mcintosh when the perfect home became available for rent while we continue our search for purchase. We were out of the country at the time but wanted to know more about the home. Ashley went above and beyond by personally visiting the home multiple times, shooting additional video of each area of the home and live streaming it to us for review. The streaming was done at hours convenient to our time zone not hers (1 AM)! She negotiated the price and the terms to be favorable for us and we were able to move in quickly. Unfortunately there were no homes available that fit our criteria at the time. So we waited, enjoyed our rental, and Ashley continued to work behind the scenes locating our perfect home. 6 months into our wait a listing fitting our criteria became available from one of Ashleys network of agents she works with regularly. The home was a perfect match. It had everything we wanted except priced a little out of the budget. Ashley was able to put together an offer that worked for us and convinced the seller of it. We closed in 30 days where Ashley coordinated the entire closing for the deal as we were out of the country again. All we had to do was sign and move in! After the close Ashley continued to communicate with us and coordinated with quality contractors to ensure we could make some changes to our new home. We were amazed at the level of service we received before, during, and after the sale. She continues to follow up with us to ensure we are satisfied with our purchase and experience, something that just doesn’t happen anymore so its very refreshing when it does. My wife and I have been associated with the real estate business for over 20 years and the experience and level of service we received from Ashley was by far the best. I wanted to write to you today to tell you how much I have been impressed with Ashley Deflin McIntosh. I have worked with her before in that she would call on me to "vet out" any potential art sales for her clients. In this most recent transaction, Ashley demonstrated an amazing ability to make a potentially difficult listing and sale process into a pleasant and successful transaction. She was patient with the appointment of a Power of attorney process in order to list the house; she persevered with getting a painter, roofer and finally a plumber (I think she was there well after 10PM). She listened to her seller and she watched her potential buyers. Ashley not only rose above and beyond the call of duty in initially listing a house that had been empty for almost two years, although in a decent location in West Palm Beach, but she made it cheerful and welcoming. She did her due diligence in getting the pricing correct. Almost 35 years ago, my first job was the assistant to the President of the newly formed Sotheby's International Realty Corp in New York City. I was lucky enough to have success, but mostly to learn that listening to your clients and having an instinct for how to handle people was the key to any real success. I can tell you hands down, Ashley has just the right instincts and, of course, has a charming and engaging personal manner as well. I wanted to take the time to write and describe my most excellent experience working with Ashley McIntosh of Douglas Elliman. I started working with another area Realtor when I began my property search earlier this year in March. That association just didn't seem to be working as I would expect.
